Alison Blake Cofounder

Alison is a brand and web designer with a quiet conviction that the best work feels inevitable — like it could only have come out one way. She earned her MFA from the School of Visual Arts and spent the early part of her career in New York, before founding Alison Blake Studio on Cape Cod. There, she partnered with small businesses and entrepreneurs to build identities and websites that hold up for years rather than seasons.

At Blake & Ducharme, she leads brand strategy and identity, with a particular obsession for typography — the kind of devotion that makes the difference between a good identity and one that lasts. Her clients return for the same reason new ones find her: she listens carefully, decides slowly, and finishes meticulously.

She is also an artist, working in large-scale charcoal drawings from her studio on Cape Cod — a practice that runs alongside the design work and, in quieter ways, feeds it. Both disciplines have taught her the same lesson: don't rush the work.
